A little suspense. One lucky landing.

When to use a workout wheel

  1. No-plan home workouts

Set a 20 minute timer and spin after each move. The surprise keeps you moving instead of negotiating with yourself about what to do next.

  2. Group fitness classes

Coaches can project the wheel and let a member spin each round. It turns a standard circuit into a game and everyone groans together.

  3. Desk breaks

Use the desk list for a two minute reset every hour. A spin is easier to start than a decision.

  4. PE warmups

Teachers can spin a warmup at the start of class while students line up. Add a "teacher's choice" slice to keep some control.

Get more from the wheel

  • Put the reps in the entry, like "20 squats", so there's no debate after the spin.
  • Do 5 rounds of 4 spins with 60 seconds rest between rounds. That's a solid 25 minute session.
  • List the moves you avoid only once and the easy ones twice if you're just getting started.
  • Skip anything that hurts. A random wheel is for variety, not for pushing through pain. Check with a doctor before starting a new routine.

Questions people ask

Can I build a HIIT workout with the wheel?

Yes. Spin for a move, work for 40 seconds, rest for 20, then spin again. Eight spins gives you a short, honest HIIT block.

Does the workout wheel need equipment?

The default list needs none. The dumbbell variation needs one pair of weights. Swap entries for whatever you have, like a kettlebell or resistance band.

Can I use the wheel on a phone propped up in the gym?

Yes. It works in any mobile browser. The result also shows in text under the wheel, so you can glance at it mid-set.
