A little suspense. One lucky landing.

When to use a number wheel

  1. Lost the dice

Load 1 to 6 from the variations and the wheel works as a die for any board game. Spinning on a big screen is more dramatic than a roll anyway.

  2. Math warmups

Spin two numbers and have the class add, subtract or multiply them. Spin a third for a bonus round. Kids love calling out the answer before anyone else.

  3. Who goes first

Everyone guesses a number, then spin. Closest guess goes first. It's quicker than rock paper scissors with six players.

  4. Random reps or minutes

Spin for how many minutes to read, how many laps to run or how many pages to clean up. Small chores feel more like a game.

Get more from the wheel

  • For two dice, spin twice and add. A single wheel from 2 to 12 is not the same, because 7 should come up far more often than 2.
  • For numbers up to 500, paste the range with one number per line or upload it as a CSV.
  • Remove each number as it lands to draw without repeats, like a bingo caller.
  • Picking a numbered ticket in a giveaway? Use the Winner Picker for a public record of the draw.

Questions people ask

Is the number wheel truly random?

Yes. Each number has an equal slice and the result is chosen with your browser's cryptographic randomness before the wheel starts turning.

Can I spin a number from 1 to 100?

Yes. Paste 1 to 100, one per line. Past 100 entries the labels hide, but the chosen number still appears clearly under the wheel.

Can I get a number without repeats?

Yes. After each spin, press Remove on the result. That number is gone from the wheel until you reload the list.

Can I use the number wheel as a dice roller?

Yes. Load the Dice 1 to 6 list and spin once per roll. For games that need a 20-sided die, load the 1 to 20 list instead. Each face gets an equal slice, just like a fair die.
