A little suspense. One lucky landing.

When to use a takeout wheel

  1. Friday night in

End the week without one more decision. Spin a cuisine, open your delivery app and order from the top-rated place in that category.

  2. Roommate group orders

One order, one delivery fee, four people. Spin for the cuisine so the order goes in before anyone wanders off for snacks.

  3. Game day spreads

Spin for the main and again for the side. Wings plus nachos, or pizza plus garlic knots. The wheel keeps the spread interesting all season.

  4. Late work nights

Teams staying late can spin to settle on one restaurant fast. Fewer separate orders means the food actually arrives together.

Get more from the wheel

  • Replace cuisines with the actual restaurants near you. A list of 8 real places beats 20 vague categories.
  • Remove last night's cuisine before you spin so the wheel can't send you back to pizza.
  • Put your budget in the label, like "Thai, $15", if the group has different limits.
  • If delivery fees matter, spin only between places with free delivery that night.

Questions people ask

Does the takeout wheel order food for me?

No. It picks the cuisine or restaurant. You still order in your usual app or call the place directly.

How is this different from the what to eat wheel?

The what to eat wheel mixes cooking and eating out. This one is built for delivery nights: cuisines, local spots and sides you can order to the door.

Can my group each add a favorite?

Yes. Everyone types one place into the list, then spin. Add a second line for anyone who lost the last spin to keep it feeling fair.

What if half the group wants something healthy?

Spin the lighter orders list instead, or split the wheel into two rounds. The first spin picks healthy or comfort, the second picks the dish. Everyone gets a say in at least one round.
