Collab giveaway caption templates

Two brands, one prize, double the reach. These captions make it clear who runs the giveaway and what entrants need to do.

Your giveaway

Ready to post

Before you post

  • The caption names which brand is the sponsor, since the sponsor is responsible for the prize and the rules.
  • Both accounts post the same entry steps, word for word.
  • If one partner is paid or gifted, the post carries a clear disclosure like #ad.
  • You've agreed who exports the comments and who draws, in writing.
  • Entrants who follow only one account have a clear answer: do they count or not?

Make it work harder

  1. Run it from one post

Use a shared collab post if your platform supports it, so all comments land in one place. Two separate posts means two lists to merge.

  2. Split the prize in the photo

Show both brands' products in the frame. People enter for what they can see.

  3. Merge lists before you draw

If you used two posts, combine both comment exports into one CSV and use the comment picker's duplicate filter so nobody gets double odds by accident.

Questions people ask

Who is the sponsor in a collab giveaway?

Whoever the rules name. Pick one brand to own the rules, the draw and prize delivery, and list the partner as a co-promoter. Two sponsors is fine but you both carry responsibility.

Do I need #ad on a collab giveaway?

If a creator is paid or got free product to post, the FTC expects a clear disclosure like #ad. Put it where people see it, not buried in a wall of hashtags.

Can entrants be required to follow both accounts?

Yes, but you can't see follows from a comment export. Either check by hand on the shortlist or treat follows as a request, not a rule you enforce.
