The best free Instagram comment picker

For a free Instagram giveaway draw, Perkadoo's comment picker takes the most comments: up to 10,000, with no account, no ads and no paywall. It checks tagged friends, words and hashtags, then gives a results page anyone can verify. As of October 2026, Comment Picker's free tier stops at 100 comments, and Simpliers' and Gleam's at 200.

Pick another tool if

  • You'd rather paste a post link than copy the comments. Simpliers and Easypromos load them for you; Perkadoo takes a paste or a CSV.
  • One giveaway runs across several posts or Reels. Easypromos imports up to 25, and Comment Picker Premium draws across posts.
  • You filter by likes or comment date. That's in Comment Picker Premium; Perkadoo filters by tags, words and excluded accounts.
  • Your post has more than 10,000 comments. Simpliers' paid plan takes up to 40,000 entries.
  • You want follow checks or a minimum follower count as entry rules. Simpliers offers those.

What a free picker has to get right

  1. Every comment counts

A cap of 100 or 200 means a busy post gets drawn from a slice of its entries, and the people left out never know. Check the cap against your comment count before you trust the result.

  2. Your caption's rules, applied first

If the caption said "tag 2 friends", the picker should drop comments with fewer tags, and self-tags or tags of your own account shouldn't count. You see the eligible list before anything is drawn.

  3. Proof entrants can check

Perkadoo locks the list, then draws with public drand randomness published after the lock. The results page shows the list fingerprint and the drand round, so anyone can rerun the pick.

  4. Backups in the same draw

Winners don't always reply. Draw a couple of backup names at the same time so the next one is already fair and on record.

Pick your Instagram winner free

Copy your Instagram comments in three steps
  1. On desktop, open your Instagram post and expand the comments and replies you want to include.
  2. Select and copy the visible authors and comments. Load more comments first; a copied selection can't include hidden ones.
  3. Paste below, or upload an author/comment CSV. On mobile, use your browser's desktop site if copying is available, or transfer an export to this page.

For big posts, Perkadoo: as of October 2026 it takes up to 10,000 comments and 100 winners free, where Comment Picker's free tier allows 100 comments and Simpliers' 200 entries. If you need multi-post draws or like filters, Comment Picker Premium at $9.99/month does those.

Do I need to log in to Instagram to pick a winner?

No. Perkadoo never asks for your Instagram password. Load all the comments on your post in a desktop browser, copy and paste them in, or upload a CSV.

Is a free comment picker fair enough for a real giveaway?

Yes, if it draws from every valid entry and you can show how. Post the results link under your winner announcement so entrants can check the draw themselves.
