Share
Let entrants and members share a card that links back to you, from inside the giveaway banner and the perk toast.
Share has no snippet of its own. It's built into the giveaway banner and the perk toast, so it appears the moment there's something worth sharing. There is no separate share element to install.
In the giveaway banner
After a visitor enters inside the banner, it shows:
- Their invite link, to copy or send through the device's share sheet, X, Facebook, WhatsApp or email.
- Their share card, an image of their entry that links back to the giveaway as their invite.
- Bonus entries your giveaway offers. A friend who enters through the invite link is a verified referral and counts once per friend. Shares and visits count on the entrant's word, and the banner says which is which.
Entries that arrive through a banner, an invite link or a share card are recorded by source, so you see in the dashboard what your site brought in.
In the perk toast
A Share it button opens a perk card with the same ways to share. The card celebrates the perk and their streak, and links back to your site's home page. It never includes the member's code or claim link, or the page they were on, which can name them. A protected reward's title stays off the card too.
Turning it on
Share needs nothing extra:
- In the banner it appears with inline entry, the default
data-entry="inline". Withdata-entry="link", your hosted giveaway page offers the same sharing after entry. - In the perk toast it appears on every perk shown on an
httporhttpspage.
